Bulacan hit by a Tornado

Bulacan hit by tornado anew; 30 houses damaged

A tornado ripped off the roofs Wednesday night of at least 30 houses in four villages in San Miguel town in Bulacan.

This is the second such incident to hit the area in two weeks, after another tornado destroyed 27 houses in nearby San Rafael town last August 8.

Renato Cabling, municipal planning and development officer for San Miguel, said Thursday the new tornado hit the four villages between 7 and 8 p.m., hitting hardest the village of Cambio.

"Tumama sa apat na barangay, lalo sa Cambio, mga 30 houses ang affected, tinangay ang bubong (The tornado hit four villages, especially Cambio. About 30 houses were affected. Their roofs were blown away)," Cabling said in an interview on dzBB radio.

He said no one was reported injured, but estimated that the tornado packed winds of up to 200 kph.

Cabling said town Mayor Roderick Tiongson visited the affected families and attended to their needs.

San Miguel is a first-class town with a population of 123,824 people in 24,111 households. - GMANews.TV

I cannot believe that we (in the Philippines) are also experiencing tornado. I just thought that tornado, cyclones and twisters were only experienced by the Americans or other countries except the Philippines. But nothing really is impossible! So what now are we going to do? Does the government have early warnings if a tornado attacks? Is the Philippines ready for the next or if a tornado strikes again? Well, hoping for the fast action of our government about this new crisis for the safety of the Filipino people.
